Rob Halford of Judas Priest has recorded a message sharing his well-wishes with Ukrainian “heavy metal maniacs.” In the clip, he’s wearing a Santa hat, with the letters MG, for Metal God, embroidered across it.
While sharing positive vibes to people being attacked by Russia, he said: “I’m sending you all of my love, all of my strength, all of my power, to each and every one of you. I love you so much.”
Then, while speaking in their language, he said “Slava Ukraini,” meaning “Glory to Ukraine.”
He ended the video with: “Stay strong, stay heavy, stay metal!”
Halford previously voiced his support for Ukraine on stage at Mystic Festival in Poland. While performing “Blood Red Skies.” he kept repeating the phrase “Free Ukraine!”
